In an era where all influencers spend their days glued to their phones posting content on social media, Simon Cowell , known on television for his role as a judge on shows such as The X Factor or Got Talent , made an unusual revelation. "I haven't used a phone for eight years and I'm happy. It's true!" , he said, amused, during the conversation led by José Eduardo Moniz , at ICON , the International Conference on Influence, which took place at the Meo Arena, in Lisbon.
The businessman - who launched big names in music such as One Direction, Leona Lewis and James Arthur - also confessed that he does not understand the current definition of an influencer: "I don't understand what an influencer does. I hear about them... I think I'm an influencer, because I do television, but I don't understand this new generation ."
